I know it has been awhile since I have update this thing, so I figured it was time. For the last month or so, we have been going to a specialist to make sure that everything is going good with our babies. We had our first appointment with Dr. Schemmer on Sept. 1st. This is the day we learned we are having 2 little GIRLS!!! We couldn't be more excited. We are going to be naming them Brooklyn and Brynlee. We also learned that one of our little girls was having a heart problem. He found things about the Heart in baby A that concerned him, and told us was a big worry. The heart was enlarged, and also there was fluid around it. He ran some tests to make sure that there wasn't any infection in my body to make her sick. We found out there was no infection, and the doctor had no clue what could be causing the problem. He told us there was almost no possibility of this situation getting better. I learned for the first time what it is like for a mom to worry about her kids. I was so upset. I wished there was something I could do to fix this problem. It hurt me to think that they could be hurting and I couldn't do anything about it.
The next Sunday happened to be fast sunday, so together our families fasted and we said many many prayers. We went back to the specialist yesterday for another check up. We learned that we are still having girls :). And after about a half hour of the doctor staring at the screen confused and not saying anything, he finally told us that she got better. The fluid around the heart was gone, and the size had gone down. He seemed like he couldn't believe it. But I knew exactly what had happened. I have always had a Testimony and a love for the Gospel, but I think it just increased 100 times. I thank my Heavenly Father so much for always being there for me and my Family. I know that I am never alone. The doctor also let us know that he still wants to keep monitoring them since he can't ignore the fact that he saw something on the first ultra sound. So we will continue to go see him and let him check on our little girls, but I'm so grateful for our answered Prayers. And I'm also so thankful for the prayers that were sent up in our behalf.
This is Baby A laying on her back. She is the most active out of the two. She wiggles during the whole ultra sound and gets the doctors all frustrated. She is also the one that is said to have the heart problem
This is them with their heads together. We love you Brooklyn and Brynlee and can't wait for you to get here. You already have so many people that love and pray for you! :)
