Update on the Twins

I know it has been awhile since I have update this thing, so I figured it was time. For the last month or so, we have been going to a specialist to make sure that everything is going good with our babies. We had our first appointment with Dr. Schemmer on Sept. 1st. This is the day we learned we are having 2 little GIRLS!!! We couldn't be more excited. We are going to be naming them Brooklyn and Brynlee. We also learned that one of our little girls was having a heart problem. He found things about the Heart in baby A that concerned him, and told us was a big worry. The heart was enlarged, and also there was fluid around it. He ran some tests to make sure that there wasn't any infection in my body to make her sick. We found out there was no infection, and the doctor had no clue what could be causing the problem. He told us there was almost no possibility of this situation getting better. I learned for the first time what it is like for a mom to worry about her kids. I was so upset. I wished there was something I could do to fix this problem. It hurt me to think that they could be hurting and I couldn't do anything about it.
The next Sunday happened to be fast sunday, so together our families fasted and we said many many prayers. We went back to the specialist yesterday for another check up. We learned that we are still having girls :). And after about a half hour of the doctor staring at the screen confused and not saying anything, he finally told us that she got better. The fluid around the heart was gone, and the size had gone down. He seemed like he couldn't believe it. But I knew exactly what had happened. I have always had a Testimony and  a love for the Gospel, but I think it just increased 100 times. I thank my Heavenly Father so much for always being there for me and my Family. I know that I am never alone. The doctor also let us know that he still wants to keep monitoring them since he can't ignore the fact that he saw something on the first ultra sound. So we will continue to go see him and let him check on our little girls, but I'm so grateful for our answered Prayers. And I'm also so thankful for the prayers that were sent up in our behalf.

This is our little Baby B. It's kinda a scary version of her face, but you can see her eye sockets really well, and also her other facial features.
This is Baby A laying on her back. She is the most active out of the two. She wiggles during the whole ultra sound and gets the doctors all frustrated. She is also the one that is said to have the heart problem
This is them with their heads together. We love you Brooklyn and Brynlee and can't wait for you to get here. You already have so many people that love and pray for you! :)

Surprise..........

So I haven't posted it on facebook yet cause I was waiting for an "official" picture/ultra sound but yep..... I'M PREGNANT.

Me and Steven decided that I should go to the doctor to make sure it was real before we told anyone about it. She confirmed that it was true and I'm now 7 weeks along. I know that's not very far, and I still have a long ways to go, but we are so excited. We surprised both of our families on Fathers day with the news. Now if only week 20 would get here so we can know what this baby is.

Whats been going on lately

We have been spending time playing softball. Here are some picture of Steve playing in a Mens tournament in Price. The team didn't do so good, and the weather ended up being horrible, but I think he had a good time anyway. We also played in an all night softball tournament a few weeks ago with my brothers and some of his family. I don't know if I am cut out for this all night stuff anymore. I had a good time playing with them, and we ended up taking 3rd. Not too bad, but we definitely should have done better.

We also had some fun watching them play in the Mt. Pleasant League. Me Cassie and the girls had fun taking pictures and enjoying time outside.

This is the look I get when I'm in trouble.

The boys playing softball. Steve is the dot out int the outfield, with Trevor, Rory and Ryan in the infield.

Things I'm Looking Forward To

So I'm sitting here bored at work and my thoughts keep going to the things I'm looking forward to. I feel like this year has so much to offer, and I'm excited to see what is in store. Being a newly wed is so much fun, and I can't wait for the adventures that lay ahead of us. I just wish we had a little bit more of this:
I am so sick of the snow and the cold weather, and I wish Mother Nature would stop teasing me with one day of sun and then snow the next. I'm ready to be able to be outside for long periods of time and enjoy the sun.
I'm also looking forward to being able to play slow pitch softball. I think it will be even more fun now that I have a husband to play with me.
I know it's been a long time since I have rode my horse but I can't wait til I can go again. I miss riding her. With the excitement of Steven coming home I didn't take much time for her last summer, but I'm hoping this summer will be different. I can't wait to take her out in the mountains.
I am also looking forward to cheering for and watching my Braves. I find it enjoyable to cheer against the Dodgers just cause my husband loves them so much.
And Last but not least, I am looking forward to spending more time with my husband. It's been a great adventure so far, and I love him more than ever. I can't wait to spend eternity with him. And I should probably add in there:
I can't wait to go inside here again. I continue to learn so much and look forward to learning more. I know I still don't understand everything, but I know with time I will continue to grow because of the truth that I learn in here. I love this place!

Spring Training/Honeymoon

For our official honeymoon, we went to Arizona to watch Spring Training. It was so much fun. I did not want to leave. We got there Monday night and came on Saturday morning. It was the perfect weather. 80-90 degrees the whole time. It was nice to enjoy time outside, but it definitely made me want summer to come a lot faster. Can't wait until next year when we can go again :)

Jamey Carrol
This is my favorite player on the Dodgers. Yes he did that pose just for me :)
Steven and Andre. This is one of his favorite players. I could tell he was excited to meet the team.

Nothing better than the sight of a baseball field.
