Scout

So this may sound like a stupid blog, but I wanted to write about my dog. She died yesterday, and it was really sad. I think it's when someone or something is gone, that you realize why you miss them. Scout was a good dog. The only one I really remember. We have had her forever. Things just won't be the same without her here. Every picture with the horses she is in it. So horse rides won't be the same, and walks won't be the same. She was always there to tag along when we would go up to grandma's. I will miss having her run and meet me when I get home from college. The days when she will just sit by your feet when you are having a bad day. Yes she stunk, and had pooh balls on her bum, but I still loved her. I would protect her from all the dogs that chased her, or when Ryan would come after her when she was in the way. She was a good dog, and will be missed a lot. These aren't very good pictures, but they are of some memories with Scout.

The 24th

To Celebrate the 24th, My parents, Trevor, Rory and I went on a little horse ride. It was lots of fun. I don't think we ever found where we wanted to go, but it was a pretty sight and a good ride. I thought I lost my dog on the way up, but scout found her way back home. Everyone says she is going to die soon, but she keeps kicking. She's still a pup. Later that night we went and roasted Hot dogs, and marshmellows up Mt. Pleasant Canyon with Rory and Trina. Both Katy and Trey weren't feeling very good, but it was still fun. It was good to get up in the mountains. We need to do it more often. I think it had been forever since I had a hot dog and a smore. But it sure was good. And of course we didn't forget the corn on the cob. MY FAVORITE.

Lamb Days/Birthday

Well I'm not longer a teenager. Yesterday I turned 20 years old. It was a good day. The town celebrated my birthday with slides, lots of people, and fireworks. Lamb days was pretty fun. My old Roommate Kenzie came down, and all my brothers, sister in laws, nieces, and nephew were there. It was awesome. I had to work the morning and miss Shaelynn and Paeton in the parade. But I made it back to watch my brothers lose their last game. My mom and dad made a very good dinner, thank you mom and dad. They also gave me new boots for my birthday, now I won't have to ride in my tenis shoes. It was a hot day, but the wind picked up in time for our games.
Playing Lamb Day Softball. We didn't win. But I had a good time anyways. I got some scratches, but other than that it was fun, my dad even played hurt.

Me and Kenzie. You can see the sweat dripping from my forehead

The Trip

Well I just got back from an amazing vacation. It was so much fun, and I can't wait to do it again. We headed towards Mesquite after Dalen and Tiffany's baby blessing on sunday. After arriving at Mesquite, we stayed at the Virgin River hotel and Casino. Don't worry we did not gamble! It was pretty hot there. It felt like a heater with the hot air blowing on us. The next morning we continued out journey to California. My mom let me take the hotel keys in so that I could see a Casino for the first time. It was just like you see it on TV. I thought I would sleep most of the way, but I didn't. It was fun to see what Nevada and California had to offer. I wasn't to impressed with the Desert. On our way I did see the world's largest thermometor. Exciting I know, but the worst part is it read 113 degrees. Arriving in Los Angeles was a little scary. The freeways were crazy, and my mom was controlling the map. We couldn't decide what was scarier, my dads driving or my mom's directing. :) After leaving our stuff in the motel we headed for the Braves/Dodgers game. It was so much fun. I went down as close as I could and took pictures. It was awesome. Trevor and Rory text me through out the whole game finding out what was going on. The Braves didn't do so hot, but it was still a good game, and Andruw GOT TO PLAY! I was so excited. I just wish Furcal would have been able to play too. There were a lot of great plays, it was awesome. The Braves ended up losing 3 to 0 but it was worth it. Us Braves fans stuck together. We are friendly people I had a guy come and shake my hand, and another girl wave big to me becauseI was wearing a Braves shirt. Another guy told me "sorry about that Brave thing." I had a blast. The next day we headed for Disneyland. A place where we could be kids again. I loved riding the rides, and seeing all the places. My favorites would have to be Tower of Terror, Soaring over California, and Pirates of the Caribbean. I got a little violated during the bugs life show. I even got my dad to ride the tower of terror. It was a blast. I also was surprised by a phone call from Steven at the airport. I was so excited. It was so good to hear his voice. I also got my picture taken with Pooh bear, and my dad ran around taking pictures of the princesses for my nieces. That night we went to see what a California mall was like. (not impressed with the one we went to) Wed. we went to the beach. It was a little scary to be in the water, but it was so cool to see. I loved it. My mom saved my dad from choking on a piece of licorice, as my dad wondered why a lifeguard didn't come to his rescue. A guy on the Pier caught a Sting Ray. It was awesome, they are cool to see in real life. I enjoyed watching the surfers too. Everything was just going great. That afternoon, we headed towards home, and stayed in St. George. There I used my swimming suit at the pool. I was impressed. I'm a good swimmer. NOT! The next day we shopped and drove the rest of the way home. Thank you mom and dad for taking me. I had a blast, and can't wait to do it again!

I'm Back!!

After 3 days of mosquito attacks and young women I am happy to be home! It didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would be, but nothing is better than home. This picture is exactly how I was feeling after the first day, but it did get better. Check out the mosquito bite on my arm. It is big! That night we had a guest speaker. She did a really good job. It was Kathryn Cook, I don't remember what her married name was. She is married to the football coach from Juab. Anyways, it was way good, one that I will never forget. She gave me a new favorite saying. "Faith and Fear cannot exist in your mind at the same time, so if you have Faith, you will not Fear." I thought it fit perfectly. I would recommend getting her to speak if you are ever in need of a speaker. The next day my dad made me go on the 3rd year hike with him, in case I needed to pack him out of the bottom. After he did the compass part, I was in the lead and took them on the trail we sometimes take the horses. I had to help all the girls cross the creek. My dad wouldn't take my help, so he almost fell in. He did make it across though. I wouldn't want to have to jump in to save him, cause we all know how much I love water. After a pretty good hike we finally made it back to camp. Walking those trails brought back some good memories. My mom and dad kinda fell behind putting the blame on some of the girls, but we know the truth :) I didnt' have to pack him out though. That night we had skits and a good testimony meeting. All in all things were going good, except for that night. WE FROZE!! I didn't sleep, I tried covering myself clear down in my sleeping bag, but that didn't work. It was miserable. I kept praying for morning to get here fast. It finally came and we were able to make it home safe. I am covered in mosquito bites, and a little sunburn. Boy am I glad to be home! Except now I get to go back for the family reunion. Mosquitos here we come!
